The Tall inspiration of my life

When I was kid and was asked, ‘what I would like to become?’ I would invariably end-up answering “Amitabh Bachchan” and Why? Simply because he takes bad man to task, he solves all the tough puzzles and looks great. Very little did I know 30 years back that my answer to the most monotonous question in an innocent kids life would remain same. However, the reason today is very different then what it was 30 years back, the Tall inspiration of my life is the most trusted story that I know of.

For me as a kid being ‘Amitabh Bachchan’ was like have a magic-wand, it is the solution of problems that once might face in life. The definition of being ‘Amitabh Bachchan’ has not change in so many years and why should it? Look at the challenges that this super star of the millennium has face in his career and life time and how he has eventually come out victorious each time. Each time life came up with a challenge Mr. Bachchan has truly fought like ‘Amitabh Bachchan’ on screen.

When I was rejected in job interviews, I remember how Mr. Bachchan was shown exit gate by All India Radio for not have the right quality of voice. Today no questions asked, he gets paid heavily for lending his voice in movies and documentaries.

In 1982, he was critically ill during the shooting of a movie and was almost declared dead by Doctors of a famous hospital in Bangalore. So the day I was lying half conscious after a fatal road accident I knew that if Mr. Bachchan can do it so should I be able to. Just like my tall inspiration, I too recovered and was back to normal life in no time.

It is not so that Mr. Bachchan always grew taller; he had his downs as well. Be it in politics or be it in business. He suffered heavy losses and burned bridges with close family friends. Such was the loss that Mr. Bachchan once feared people walking in this office asking for the money they invested in Mr. Bachchan’s venture. But he fought like ‘Amitabh Bachchan’ did on screen.  He fought in real life and came out with flying colours. He repaid all the dues, and in 70th decade of his life he is once again the most successful face of the Indian movies. He is one of the top paid actors and probably most loved by movie enthusiasts across the globe.

So when life becomes tough, I look at the childhood dream of becoming ‘Amitabh Bachchan’ that makes be optimistic about any situation. Be it financial crises, personal relationship or anything else for me life is all about being optimistic by being ‘Amitabh Bachchan’- the tall inspiration of my life.

For me being ‘Amitabh Bachchan’ is lot more than a being a movie star, it is all about confidence of one’s ability to survive through the tough times and that’s what keeps me going each day of my life.
